Annabelle Cone taught French and Comparative Literature at Dartmouth College for thirty years. She has self-published three graphic novels, the first two are memoirs, and the third is a cultural history of maids. For ten years, beginning in 2012, she kept a blog, “Fringarde,” on used fashion. She is currently working on a memoir titled “Diary of a Clothes Addict.” The piece in this issue of Bloodroot is an excerpt from that memoir.
